In loving memory of Steven Davison, Head of Portfolio Management

We are devastated to confirm that our colleague and dear friend, Stephen Davison, has passed away following a short illness.

Stevie joined Ortus in July 2019, when we were a team of just eleven people. Since then, his contribution has been immeasurable. He worked across lending and portfolio management – heading both areas – and led countless key projects over the years, including serving as our lead during our time as a CBILS lender. It’s impossible to overstate his impact. We quite simply could not have followed our journey without him, and we will be forever grateful for everything he did.

More importantly, Stevie was a wonderful man – warm, kind, and endlessly good-humoured. His self-deprecating wit, generosity of spirit, and genuine respect for others made him a joy to be around. We have so many amazing memories of him at Christmas parties, staff events, and on our annual company holidays. He would always insist he was going to be sensible but, within a few hours, he’d be dancing away – famously, and usually, without his shirt on.

We will miss him so much. He will always be one of us – part of our family – and we will never forget him.
From all of us at Ortus and Kvika, in Belfast, London and Reykjavík – rest in peace, Stevie, with all our love.
